Residential Wells
Safe, economical ground water is a key ingredient to life in rural and suburban Southern Ontario, and drilling the wells that supply it has been our bread and butter for four generations.
When your home runs on a well, everything depends on it: the morning shower, the kettle, the garden hose. W.D. Hopper & Sons has the expertise, equipment, and licensed, experienced well technicians to drill a well your household can rely on for decades.
Most domestic wells we drill are 6 inches in diameter and produce 10 to 20 gallons per minute, comfortably more than a busy household uses. Depths in our part of Ontario typically run from 50 to 500 feet depending on local geology, and we've drilled through all of it: bedrock in the west, Karst formations with caves and sinkholes, and screened overburden wells in central Ontario.
Our attention to detail and quality is what makes the difference between a well that works and a well that lasts. Every well is constructed to Ontario's Reg. 903 standard, properly cased, sealed, and disinfected before we hand it over.
